American Valais Blacknose Sheep Registry Launches Online Registry System with Pedigree.dev

The American Valais Blacknose Sheep Registry (AVBSR) is now using Pedigree.dev as its official online breed registry platform. AVBSR serves as a DNA-based registry and repository for pedigree, genetic, and ownership records of Valais Blacknose Sheep.

This modern, secure, and real-time system allows breeders to:

• Manage memberships online

• Register and transfer animals

• Download registry certificates

• Verify certificates and ownership using QR codes

• View pedigrees and genetic DNA trait information

All of these features are available through a user-friendly online portal accessible with just a few clicks.

While the registry process is now managed online, all animals must continue to meet the AVBSR’s established standards and requirements. Registration applications are reviewed to ensure DNA verification, ownership documentation, and animal information comply with AVBSR policies before an official registry certificate is issued.

The AVBSR Pedigree.dev portal is available at avbsr.pedigree.dev.

Current AVBSR members with registered sheep already have an account in the system and simply need to sign in to review their information and update their membership as needed.
